The Boston Celtics are, without a question, the best team in the NBA right now.
After all, they currently flaunt a league-best 40-12 record as they remain the number one seed in the Eastern Conference this season.
Many expected the Celtics to be an excellent team in the 2023-24 NBA season following their impressive offseason trades, which added the likes of Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday to the roster.
However, head coach Joe Mazzulla had an interesting analogy to explain why the Celtics are playing well this season via Celtics on NBC Sports Boston on Twitter.
“You ever seen Spider-Man? There were like 20 different Spider-Man’s, that’s like our team,” Mazzulla said.

Mazzulla asked the reporter if he had ever seen the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse film.
Upon learning the answer, Mazzulla claimed this season’s Celtics are similar to the critically acclaimed film.
He believes that the Celtics have several excellent players on the team that can take over the game on any given night, similar to how the movie features several versions of the web-slinging superhero.
Now, that’s truly one of the most unique ways to praise a team.
As far as Mazzulla’s analogy is concerned, it’s certainly fitting in relation to the Celtics.
After all, they have Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Kristaps Porzingis, Jrue Holiday, and Derrick White on the roster.
Each player has played a crucial role in the Celtics’ success till this point in the 2023-24 NBA season.
But the biggest question around the Celtics remains whether they can carry this sensational form to the 2024 playoffs.
