The New York Knicks are the feel-good story of the 2023-24 NBA season as they’re a likable team that has a legitimate shot to compete for a championship.

For decades, the city of New York has been craving a good Knicks squad and they finally have one as the current roster is deep and talented.

Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle were named All-Stars, while the supporting cast of OG Anunoby, Donte DiVincenzo, and Josh Hart make for solid role players.

The team also fortified their roster by adding Bojan Bogdanovic at the trade deadline, a move that most around the league were impressed by.

New York looks like they’re ready to be in the inner circle of contenders for the foreseeable future given their collective age, experience, and talent.

Stephen A. Smith, a life-long Knicks fan, made a bold proclamation about his team, via ESPN.

“The New York Knicks will meet the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals,” Smith said.

The Boston Celtics have been the best team in the league this season because of their all-around play, though New York is one of the few teams that match-up well with them.

Despite some bad injury luck, the Knicks project to be fully healthy come the postseason and could see the Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals if the standings hold up.

New York is currently the fourth seed, though they’re right next to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks in the standings.

Smith’s prophecy may or may not come true, but the Knicks are a team that other organizations don’t want to see in the playoffs.
