A couple of nights ago, the San Antonio Spurs got a big glimpse of what their new franchise player could do on a nightly basis.
Victor Wembanyama made the headlines for logging a triple-double with blocks in just 29 minutes.
He logged 27 points on 10-of-14 shooting to go along with five assists and a whopping ten blocks to lead his team to a blowout win over the Toronto Raptors.
With that in mind, NBA insider Shams Charania predicted that he would soon get the next quadruple-double.
Talking on FanDuel’s Run It Back, Charania reminded everyone that only four players have logged a quadruple-double in NBA history, and none has had more than one.
“Victor Wembanyama, to me it’s only a matter of time before he gets a quadruple-double in a game.”@ShamsCharania thinks we’re gearing up to see a Wemby quadruple-double any time now.

Charania pointed out the fact that Wembanyama had five assists in that game, and he’s proven to be a more than willing and capable passer.
On top of that, we’ve already seen his shot-blocking skills, and he has proven that he can guard one through five.
Charania thinks Wembanyama could even become the all-time leader in quadruple-doubles, and he wouldn’t be surprised if that were to happen very soon.
Wembanyama didn’t need a lot of time to make an impact in this league, as he’s already averaging a 20-point double-double, all while leading the NBA in swats with a whopping 3.2 blocks per game.
The Spurs are still a ways away from being a playoff-caliber team, but their stellar rookie has proven to be as good as advertised already, and don’t be shocked if he proves Charania right very soon.
