The Denver Nuggets dominated the NBA during the 2022-23 NBA season like no other team in the league.
While Nikola Jokic was undoubtedly the primary superstar on the team, Jamal Murray did an excellent job of being second-in-command to the two-time NBA MVP.
Murray took his game to the next level during the 2023 Western Conference Finals and played a crucial role in eliminating the Los Angeles Lakers.
Keeping Murray’s postseason heroics in mind, many would assume that he is a multi-time NBA All-Star.
However, truth be told, Murray has never earned the honor to play in the NBA All-Star Game even once.
Murray once again missed the NBA All-Star Game despite averaging decent numbers this season and had a strong response, via The Athletic on Twitter.
“I think when you win in the playoffs, you win on the biggest stages you play and show yourself on the biggest stages, and you prove yourself against those so-called All-Stars, (then it’s) whatever,” Murray said.
There’s a strong argument to be made that Jamal Murray is already the best player of all time who never made an All-Star team.
Not that he cares.

Murray pointed out at the end of the day that winning in the playoffs matters the most, and he did so in the 2023 postseason.
So far this season, Murray has played 40 games in the regular season and averaged 20.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game for the Nuggets.
Sure, there are many talented players in the NBA Western Conference, but Murray could have earned at least one NBA All-Star appearance in his incredible NBA career.
Considering he is 26 years old right now, he still has the majority of his career ahead of him, and he can certainly become an NBA All-Star once.
