Klay Thompson has remained an integral startling lineup member for the Golden State Warriors since his rookie year.
However, the veteran star is currently in the twilight years of his career, and after struggling for most of this season, he is finally coming off the bench.
While Thompson impressed many with his first game off the bench against the Utah Jazz, scoring a season-high 35 points, there is still no guarantee whether he can sustain in that role.
Another key factor about Thompson this season is the fact that he is on an expiring contract.
If he fails to impress the Warriors front office, the Warriors could defer from re-signing him this offseason.
Well, in case that scenario presents itself, there are apparently four teams interested in Thompson’s services this offseason, as revealed via Evan Sidery on Twitter.
The Clippers, Heat, Lakers, and Magic are all expected to show interest in Klay Thompson this summer, per @ShamsCharania on @PatMcAfeeShow (https://t.co/JX7hFWs7XM).

As per the above-attached tweet, the Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, and Orlando Magic have reportedly shown interest in Klay Thompson.
Although Thompson is no longer the star that he once was, it seems like he has several teams ready to accept him as a veteran presence on the court.
Speaking of his stats, Thompson has averaged 17.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game for the Warriors this season while playing 50 games.
Although Thompson’s numbers are still decent, he needs to work on his shooting efficiency.
Heading into the NBA All-Star break, Thompson was shooting 42.1% from the field and 37.3% from the three-point line.
This is only the second time in his career that Thompson is shooting below 40% from downtown.
