Victor Wembanyama entered the league as undoubtedly one of the most hyped prospects in the history of the NBA.
Being selected as the number one overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft didn’t shock any basketball fan out there.
Fans expected great things from the San Antonio Spurs center right away.
Among the huge expectations from Wembanyama, being selected for the All-Star game was arguably at the top.
Unfortunately, Wembanyama missed out on the honors despite averaging decent numbers for a first-year player in the league.
On the bright side, Wembayama participated in the NBA Rising Star game, and the 20-year-old star shared plans on wanting to participate in the slam dunk and 3-point contests in the future via Legion Hoops.
“Yeah, it’s on my bucket list,” Wembanyama said.

Previously, many big-name stars participated in the above-mentioned contests, but that’s no longer the norm in the league right now.
Considering Wembanyama has the talent to one day become the face of the league, it’s great to see that he plans to participate in both the competitions at some point in his career.
Keeping Wembanyama’s unique frame in mind, it’ll be interesting to see what types of dunks the French phenom can perform.
