The Denver Nuggets have the greatest passing big man to ever live.
Nikola Jokic continues to build his Hall of Fame case every single time he sets foot on a basketball court, and he could make a strong argument for being one of the greatest foreign players in NBA history once it’s all said and done.
Notably, none of that would’ve been possible if it hadn’t been for the many international players who paved the way for him when they arrived in the U.S. from overseas, even though they didn’t always get the recognition they deserved.
Jokic hasn’t forgotten about them, though.
When asked about a former player he’d like to play with; he chose Peja Stojakovic (via ClutchPoints).
“Peja Stojakovic in today’s NBA would be really good. I mean, he was an All-Star… But I think in today’s NBA, he’d be amazing.”

The Nuggets star stated that Stojakovic was an All-Star and a very good player during his time, but he thinks he’d be even better in today’s era, and he might be right.
Stojakovic went down as one of the greatest shooters of his generation and of all time.
His game would be tailor-made for today’s pace-and-space era, as he had a quick trigger and the ability to shoot over anybody.
He was an intelligent player with a great feel for the game, a willing passer, and a perennial threat from all three levels.
Stojakovic would’ve thrived in the perimeter with Jokic picking and popping and getting him the basketball in his spots, and with today’s three-point-happy offenses, it wouldn’t have been shocking to see him break multiple three-point-related records.
That would’ve been a treat to watch.
