The NBA All-Star Game took place Sunday night, wrapping up the festivities that had taken place all weekend.

This game saw the league’s biggest stars face off in classic East-West format, but with the lack of defense and overall structure, some fans have grown tired of the event.

Despite the game not getting the best fan response, the league continues to put it on.

In this year’s contest, Damian Lillard ended up winning MVP of the game, which came after he scored 39 points, and logged six assists and three rebounds.

Many of his 39 points came from the three-point line, as he went 11-23 from range throughout the game.

After seeing what he could do in a game with no defense, Skip Bayless challenged Lillard to put up these types of numbers in a meaningful game.

In a postgame tweet, Bayless wondered if Lillard would put up this volume of numbers in the playoffs, hopefully helping the Milwaukee Bucks win another title.

Now let’s see if Dame can back up his big All-Star Weekend with a bigger June.

Lillard was brought to the Bucks from the Portland Trail Blazers for a reason.

The Bucks were looking for another star to add to their rotation, and Lilliard seemed to fit the bill.

Fans were initially excited about Lillard’s arrival but with the Bucks’ recent woes in mind, there have been some concerns about the team’s ability to gel together.

The Eastern Conference is filled with several talented teams, and this year will be tougher than normal for teams to break through and make their way to the NBA Finals.
