After starting the year as one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, the Milwaukee Bucks made a surprising move and fired head coach, Adrian Griffin.

While other details came out later, it was evident that the team was unhappy with Griffin’s attitude and the team’s performance.

They quickly hired Doc Rivers as their new head coach, hoping his experience could keep this team on a championship trajectory.

Even though Rivers has a lot of NBA experience, including winning a title with the Boston Celtics in 2008, he hasn’t found the instant success with the Bucks that many expected.

Some have even wondered why Rivers got the job in the first place, which Craig Carton had an answer for in a recent segment of his show.

He called Rivers “a snake in the grass,” an indication of how he feels about him and the way he got the job.

Carton is under the impression that Rivers has been jockeying for this role for some time, that he has been working under the surface to get the Bucks coaching gig.

Whether this is true remains to be seen, but he seems to believe that Rivers was up to no good when he was looking to obtain this role.

Despite the Bucks struggling lately, especially in Rivers’ first few weeks on the job, Carton and his team do believe they will get back on track.

The Eastern Conference will be a tough fight this year, but with the talent on this roster, it might be hard to knock the Bucks out in a seven-game series.
