Even though he still has plenty of basketball left, it’s safe to say that Nikola Jokic is already the greatest player in Denver Nuggets history.
The Serbian big man led them to the NBA Finals for the first time, winning their very first championship.
However, the fact that the team gave him No. 15 when they drafted him, especially him being a second-rounder, has been a subject of debate multiple times.
Lately, Carmelo Anthony addressed that situation in his podcast, and he thinks the Nuggets were petty for giving him his number after everything he did for the organization.
With that in mind, and in the wake of his recently re-ignited feud with former coach George Karl, the latter took to Twitter to take a shot at Anthony.
Karl congratulated Jokic on his birthday and called him the greatest No. 15 in Nuggets history, obviously dissing his former small forward.

A couple of days ago, Anthony told the story of how the very first thing that George Karl said to him when he was hired was that he was vastly overrated and that he wanted to have a role similar to Detlef Schrempf.
Karl took offense to that and doubled down on his take on being overrated, also calling him passive-aggressive.
Anthony did nothing but laugh, and he’s unlikely to respond and keep this online beef going.
Coach Karl has infamously feuded with multiple star players, and he’s never going to mince his words about anything, so don’t expect him to stop taking shots at Anthony in the future.
