NBA All-Star weekend could use a complete overhaul.

They have events on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights but they lack the competitiveness that most people hope for.

On Sunday, to close out the weekend is the All-Star Game.

This season we saw one of the least competitive All-Star Games in a long time.

Usually, the game starts with no defense being played and the players take it more seriously later on.

But, that was not the case this year.

Instead, we saw the first All-Star Game ever where a team scored 200 points.

There was never any defense played in the game and the quality of competition was low.

Many fans are looking for a way to make the game better.

Tristan Thompson thinks he came up with an effective solution.

Thompson said: “Adding a 1 on 1 tournament and 2-ball tournament…would be entertaining.”

1-on-1 would be interesting because players would want to show they are the best in the league.

Everyone would take pride in going head-to-head with another All-Star.

But, that still would not solve the lack of competitiveness in the All-Star Game.

The only way the players will play hard in that game is likely for an incentive.

Either a monetary incentive for winning or an incentive for their team.

It remains to be seen what the NBA will do, but it is clear they need to find a way to up the competitiveness.
