The Kansas City Chiefs have won back-to-back Super Bowls despite not having the most prominent skill players in the game.
Patrick Mahomes didn’t get much help from his wide receivers this season, yet the team was able to rally behind their defense and get the job done when it mattered the most.
Needless to say, that doesn’t mean they plan to do the same thing next season.
If anything, the front office needs to address their need for more talent in the WR room to get even stronger and pursue a three-peat.
With that in mind, NFL analyst Craig Carton believes that Mike Evans would be a match made in heaven for them.
“Mike Evans to Kansas City makes the most sense,” he said.

Talking on The Carton Show, he pointed out the fact that Mahomes has only thrown two touchdown passes traveling 20+ yards in the air over the past couple of years.
And while the Chiefs have still won back-to-back Super Bowls despite that, adding Evans to that offense would give them a whole new dimension and big-play threat.
Carton states that Evans should want to play with Mahomes as much as Mahomes wants to play with Evans.
Still, the Chiefs might have a tough time getting a deal done unless he’s willing to give them a discount or structure his deal in a way that he gets a lot of money in incentives.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been reluctant to offer him the kind of contract he’s looking for, and with him looking to cash in on what could be the last lucrative deal of his career, it’ll be interesting to see how this situation plays out.
