The NBA is in great hands right now.
LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and, to some degree, Kevin Durant are currently the face of the league, but the next generation of players is ready to take over, or so it seems.
Talking about that, former NBA star J.J. Redick believes that Tyrese Haliburton, Jayson Tatum, and Anthony Edwards could be next in line to be the American face of the league (via First Take).
“In terms of American players, I think it’s Tyrese Haliburton … Jayson Tatum … Anthony Edwards. It could be someone else. But there has to be I think the embrace of being a face of the league.” Redick said.

Nonetheless, he also thinks that players should want to be the face of the league, mentioning guys like Kawhi Leonard or Nikola Jokic, who are legitimate superstars but have never wanted or looked to be famous.
He also stated that Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron, or Curry all became the face of the league because they won, so winning obviously matters.
There’s more talent in the NBA now than ever before, so it wouldn’t be shocking to see other players taking over and joining this list, whether it’s an American player or someone from overseas.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luka Doncic, and Victor Wembanyama have everything it takes to become the next big thing in basketball as well.
There are so many great players in the league right now that the NBA could legitimately afford an expansion right now.
Also, watching the next generation of superstars taking the league by storm and becoming the faces of the NBA is going to be quite exciting.
