For over two decades, LeBron James has been deemed one of the greatest players in NBA history.

He entered the league as the biggest sensation in basketball with a ‘Chosen One’ label.

He dominated from day one and put together one of the most impressive résumés in basketball history.

He recently claimed that he was on the fence about whether to get a farewell tour when he decides on his final season.

James claimed that he has never been one to take praise very well.

With that in mind, Stephen A. Smith took to First Take to make it loud and clear that there was just no way that LeBron would quietly walk away from the NBA.

“He deserves to be celebrated to the level Michael Jordan was celebrated … Kobe Bryant … Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. … He’s on that level,” Smith said.

He believes James is on the Mt. Rushmore of great basketball players and deserves to be celebrated.

He believes he’s done too much for the game of basketball to just walk away quietly, and he’s right on point.

Then again, we’ve heard James say a lot of things during his career, so people should take his words with a grain of salt.

The man who put together an ESPN special broadcast to announce his free agent decision most likely is not going to retire without a big farewell tour, perhaps the biggest ever.
