Jake Ferguson Has Clear Message About Packers Loss

The Dallas Cowboys suffered one of the most embarrassing losses in their history last season.

They had home-field advantage and were riding a sixteen-game winning streak at AT&T Stadium.

They were the No. 2 seed in the conference and were heavily favored against the youngest team to make the playoffs in the Super Bowl era.

Then, the Green Bay Packers hit the ground running and never took their foot off the gas and put an end to their promising season.

However, as much as people have talked about that and as bad as the Cowboys looked again in a crucial situation, TE Jake Ferguson wants to put that in the rearview mirror once and for all.

Talking on NFL Total Access, he claimed that they just need to get to a clean slate, focus on what’s to come, and get ready for next season.

“You can’t look back and you know, have any sort of just ‘Oh, I made a bad play, so we lost.’ No, it’s just on to the next, it’s over with, so we played that game, clock’s zero, it’s time to move on to the next week,” he said.

That’s one way to look at it.

Professional athletes need to have a short memory and make sure that everything, both good and bad, stays in the past whenever they set foot on the field.

On the other hand, the Cowboys have a long-withstanding history of failure in the past three decades, and that has to be in the back of their minds as well.

It’s time this team gets over the hump once and for all, and perhaps they could use some sports psychology to figure out why they haven’t been able to be as good in the playoffs as they’ve been in the regular season.
