If things continue to go well, Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves might be appearing in his first NBA Finals this year.
The Timberwolves have been incredible all season long and they are the top seed in the Western Conference right now while Edwards is producing 26.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game.
Sitting down with “First Take,” Karl-Anthony Towns praised his “special” teammate.
“He hates when I say it, but he’s going to be the face of the NBA,” Towns said, commenting on the way that Edwards helps the team both on and off the court.
“I think the future’s very, very bright for him,” he added.

There are three major stars playing for the Timberwolves: Towns, Rudy Gobert, and Edwards.
However, it feels like Edwards has become the biggest name on the roster and has the best chance of leading it far into the future.
He has been in the league for four seasons now and has consistently gotten better year after year.
Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have been following a similar trajectory and are on the cusp of going far into the postseason for the first time in years.
The team didn’t perform as fans had hoped last season but everything has come together in 2023-24.
And Edwards was selected for the All-Star Game for the second year in a row.
The Timberwolves will need to keep it up for the next few months if they want to make a splash in the playoffs, which means Edwards has to continue performing at an All-Star level.
Minnesota is set to face the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night.
This will be another chance for Edwards to show the team and the NBA world just how truly special he has become.
