The Phoenix Suns are seemingly rusty following the NBA All-Star break, as the organization has suffered back-to-back losses in the regular season.
First, the Suns were outplayed by the Dallas Mavericks in a 113-123 defeat.
Following the 10-point loss, the Suns suffered a heartbreaking 110-114 loss against the Houston Rockets.
Speaking of the Suns vs. Rockets game, it was a bitter-sweet night for superstar Kevin Durant.
On one hand, Durant surpassed Carmelo Anthony to become the ninth all-time NBA scoring leader.
But the 2x NBA champion believes it was his fault for the Suns’ four-point loss against the Rockets, as revealed via Duane Rankin on Twitter.
“I was 1-of-7 from 3. I make two 3s, we win the game, ” Durant said.

Taking accountability for your own mistakes is undoubtedly an incredible quality in a leader, and Kevin Durant has shown that a plethora of times during his NBA career.
Durant believes it was his lackluster three-point shooting that became the primary reason behind the Suns’ heartbreaking loss against the Rockets.
To put things into perspective, Durant went ice-cold from the three-point line, as he finished the game with 1-of-7 from downtown.
Durant explained had he made two more three-pointers, the Suns would have won the game.
While it was an off night for Durant from deep, he still had a fantastic overall game.
Kevin Durant played 38 minutes against the Rockets, where he ended up with 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists for the team.
Unfortunately, the Suns’ defeat led to the Suns becoming the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 33-24 record this season.
The Suns hope to bounce back against the Los Angeles Lakers in their next game.
