The Pittsburgh Steelers have one of the best defensive tackles in the league, and that’s been the case for well over a decade now.
Cam Heyward is the kind of player and leader all teams would love to have in their ranks.
Nonetheless, given the way the Steelers have fared over the past five years or so, it seems like the fans are starting to lose their patience with the team.
That’s why some fans even called Heyward out and urged him to just retire, as he wasn’t able to stay healthy last season, and they believe he’s not going to be the same player anymore.
With that in mind, the veteran took to Twitter to diss those fans, stating that he’s going out of his way to make sure to get back to full strength and get healthy, and vowing to silence the doubters next season.
Funny how you get hurt and kill yourself just to get back to play and not be 100 percent. Now they want you to retire cuz I was hurt all year Atleast I know where y’all stand. Yall quick to forget when I am healthy…. But I look forward to reminding yall

Heyward isn’t getting any younger, and we already know how tough it could be for players to stay on the field once they reach a certain age; Father Time is undefeated.
Then again, we’re talking about a franchise legend here and one of the best players on the team.
Heyward struggled with injuries last season, but he already went under the knife to make sure to get back on the field for the start of training camp.
Hopefully, the fans will appreciate him and give him the love and recognition he deserves after all he’s done for the organization and the community throughout the course of his career.
