The Boston Celtics have dominated the Eastern Conference this season as they remain the number one seed.

The Celtics continued their excellent performance this season by registering a stunning 116-102 win over the New York Knicks.

Following the win, the Celtics have now improved their record to 45-12 behind an eight-game winning streak.

At this point in the season, most have the Celtics as the favorites to lift the Larry O’Brien trophy.

Jaylen Brown is apparently focused on the postseason too as he had a big reaction to the regular season win over the Knicks.

“When it comes down to the playoffs, none of that really matters,” Brown said.

Of course, dominating the regular season helps any team in the league enter the postseason with a great mentality.

But at the end of the day, the regular season record doesn’t matter once the playoffs begin.

The Celtics have experienced this feeling multiple times over the past few seasons.

In the last seven seasons, the Celtics have made the Eastern Conference Finals four times and advanced to the NBA Finals once.

Despite having such an excellent performance in the postseason, the Celtics have failed to win it all.

Keeping that in mind, the Celtics will try to finally end their championship drought behind the likes of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kristaps Porzingis.

If the rest of the team also shares the same mentality as Brown, it will certainly become an easier task for the organization.
