The Boston Celtics were on the verge of something special, and Brad Stevens has been able to lead them to a whole new level.
He took the team Danny Ainge built and turned it into a bigger juggernaut, putting together the most stacked lineup in the game.
That’s why it’s not much of a surprise to see them securing a winning season before the All-Star Game and having the best record in the league by a wide margin.
Former Celtics player Eddie House believes this team is as good as the one that last won an NBA championship almost 15 years ago.
Talking on NBC Sports Boston, House argued that adding Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis was the right move for this team, as they gave them another layer both offensively and defensively.
“This is one of the best Celtics teams I’ve seen put out on the floor in a while,” House said.

On top of that, it seems like second-year coach Joe Mazzulla has learned from his past mistakes, as he’s been able to make timely adjustments to prevent his team from digging itself into big holes like what happened last season.
Truth be told, there should be no room for excuses for this Celtics team.
They’re just too talented and too stacked on both ends of the floor, and they should be the team that represents the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals.
Anything short of a trip to the ultimate stage could seriously affect the narrative around Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, and it would also be hard to justify coach Mazzulla holding onto his job for longer.
