Fans of the Golden State Warriors haven’t seen a lot of Moses Moody lately.
The 21-year-old guard was playing an average of 18 minutes per game for much of the season but has only been on the floor for 11.8 minutes during the last eight games.
Speaking to NBC Sports after Sunday night’s loss to the Denver Nuggets, head coach Steve Kerr was honest about Moody’s role on the team.
“He’s out of the loop right now but that doesn’t mean that’s the case for the rest of the season,” Kerr admitted.
“We’ve got a lot of guys who are healthy and we’re getting Chris [Paul] back on this trip at some point so everybody’s just got to stay ready. There’s not enough minutes for everybody,” he added.
“He’s out of the loop, right now.”

During Sunday’s game, Moody only played for 1 minute and 45 seconds.
He didn’t score anything during that brief time and only played for 8 minutes and 22 seconds a few nights before against the Charlotte Hornets.
That’s quite a change from earlier in 2023-24 when Moody was playing for more than 20 minutes per game.
Kerr obviously believes in Moody and likes the young player but he has a very full roster right now and the team has been on a roll for the most part lately.
After months of problems, they seem to be once again finding their identity, which means that Kerr won’t be tweaking things too much.
But as he mentioned, things might change in the coming months and Moody needs to be prepared to step up and play at any point.
For the season, Moody has averaged 7.8 points and 2.9 rebounds.
It’s a transitional period for the Warriors right now and, unfortunately for Moody, he has found himself “out of the loop,” but that might not be the case much longer.
