Like all other teams in the NBA, the Phoenix Suns really want to win the Finals this year.
There is a lot of pressure on Phoenix to do very well this season, especially because of the recent acquisitions they made and the hype that came with them.
Duane Rankin broke down the most important keys for the Suns in the months ahead.
He said that the team’s big three of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal absolutely have to stay healthy in order to find success.
Additionally, the team needs to keep shooting, especially from the three-point line.
Finally, big man Jusuf Nurkic has to continue playing well because he is the team’s “wild card.”
If the Suns are able to do all of that, they might be able to push past the rest of the West.
These aren’t all the keys for the Phoenix Suns to win it all.
Just three of them:
1. Big 3 healthy.
2. 3PT shooting.
3. Jusuf Nurkic wild card.

Of course, there are other things they need to address too, such as better defense, and Rankin took note of that too.
This team has a lot of great talent and individual players who could have a huge impact on the court.
The question is if they can come together and score some important wins, specifically against such a competitive conference.
The Suns are the fifth seed right now, behind the Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Minnesota Timberwolves.
As if that’s not bad enough, the New Orleans Pelicans, Sacramento Kings, and Dallas Mavericks are hot on their heels.
They are facing stiff competition from above and below them in the standings and that means there is very little margin for error.
Additionally, they are again without Beal, who is out with a hamstring injury.
If they can get healthier, keep shooting from all over the court, and get Nurkic more involved, they may be on a path to their very first championship win.
