The New York Giants find themselves at a bit of a crossroads ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Giants failed to get back to the postseason during the 2023 NFL season, and now there are questions as to whether or not the team has the right quarterback.

Daniel Jones regressed in 2023, and his year ended prematurely after he suffered a torn ACL.

Jones showed flashes of being an above-average quarterback the year prior, but after his injury, his long-term future with the franchise is in doubt.

Complicating matters is New York owns the No. 6 overall pick and could decide to pivot from Jones.

It appears the Giants are at least considering a change at quarterback as they’re set to meet with several prospects at the NFL Draft Combine via Art Stapleton of Record Sports.

As I reported this morning, #NYGiants will have formal meetings with all the top QB here in Indy: Daniels, Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and J.J. McCarthy. Plus, they met with Bo Nix, Michael Penix, and others at the Senior Bowl,” Stapleton reported.

Normally, these types of meetings can be attributed to teams doing their due diligence but in this case it looks like the Giants are seriously considering taking one of the quarterbacks in this year’s class.

Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels are the consensus top-three signal callers in the draft, though J.J. McCarthy, Michael Penix Jr., and Bo Nix offer some intrigue and upside as well.

There are other players at the top of the draft that would make worthy additions, so the situation bears monitoring.
