The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to win basketball games.
J.B. Bickerstaff’s team has made a living out of getting wins out of the mud.
They’re a scrappy team that can find multiple ways to get the job done, whether it’s knocking down shots from beyond the arc or making the most of their big men in the frontcourt to get an edge on the glass.
Considering that, Stephen A. Smith called them a “bona fide threat” out of the Eastern Conference.
Talking on “First Take,” the pundit referred to Tuesday night’s game in which the Cavaliers overcame a late double-digit deficit and capped it off with a game-winning buzzer-beater from way behind half-court.
“Cleveland looks like a bonafide threat within the Eastern Conference.”

He believes this team can continue to make some noise in the East, although he also said that the New York Knicks could get them in the playoffs again if they get back to full strength.
The big question for this Cavs team will be whether they’re going to be able to keep their feet on the gas when it matters the most, especially with Bickerstaff’s history of not making timely adjustments throughout the course of a playoff series.
They look much better, more mature, and deeper than they were last season when they crumbled under pressure in the postseason.
For now, however, it wouldn’t be shocking to see them climbing the ladder and finishing the season with the second-best record in the East, especially if they continue to find luck with buzzer-beating shots from beyond 50 feet.
