When it comes to international tournaments in basketball, there is no team that can match the level of success that Team USA has obtained over the years.
It is evident from the fact that they have 16 gold medals in the Olympics, by far the most as compared to any other team.
However, one thing that Team USA has faced a plethora of times since allowing NBA players to participate in the competition is not working hard enough to win the medal.
Speaking of which, Team USA failed to win even a single medal at the 2023 FIBA World Cup, as they finished the tournament in the fourth position.
As a result, Team USA is expected to bring its full strength at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
On that note, there are six NBA stars who are considered locks for Team USA at the event, barring any injuries, as revealed per Shams Charania via NBACentral on Twitter.

As mentioned in the above tweet, the list contains LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, and Jrue Holiday.
Considering the fact that James, Durant, and Curry are in the twilight years of their careers, it will be one last opportunity for fans to see them in USA colors.
On the other hand, Embiid and Tatum are considered two of the best players in the league right, so there potential selection won’t surprise many.
Lastly, Holiday has made a name for himself in the NBA for being a defensive specialist and he will play a key role in leading the team’s defense if he gets called upon for Team USA.
