The Los Angeles Lakers made a huge statement on Wednesday night.
They entered the fourth quarter trailing by double digits before outscoring the Los Angeles Clippers 39-16.
LeBron James was at his finest in that final period, scoring 19 points in the fourth quarter alone to secure a four-point win.
Notably, the 19-point deficit they erased was the largest 4th-quarter comeback of any team involving LeBron James in NBA history, according to ESPN’s Jorge Sedano (Via Hoops Central).

The Clippers seemed to be in full control of the game.
Tyronn Lue’s team had held James to just 15 points throughout the first three quarters, and the 21-year veteran took over to finish the game with 34 points, six rebounds, and eight assists.
Anthony Davis contributed with 20 points and 12 boards, and D’Angelo Russell had 18 points to go along with six assists.
The Clippers were down two key players, as Paul George and Ivica Zubac were out with a knee injury and an illness, respectively.
Even so, this was quite an impressive effort by Darvin Ham’s team, and it showed that they can be one of the best defensive teams in the league when they’re locked in.
The Clippers have dominated this rivalry since LeBron James arrived in Southern California, beating them with ease more often than not.
Perhaps, this emotional win will finally shift the tide back in the Lakers’ favor, and it could also be a catalyst for Darvin Ham’s team to finally turn the corner and play with that kind of intensity night in and night out.
