All eyes were on the Los Angeles Lakers during their recent matchup against the Washington Wizards during the regular season.
After all, many expected LeBron James to reach 40,000 career points against the Wizards.
Although James remains just nine points shy of breaking the record, the Lakers still ended up with a crucial win.
Considering the game was stretched into overtime, many were genuinely concerned whether the Lakers would suffer a heartbreaking loss against the now-15th seed in the Eastern Conference.
The Lakers somehow pulled a 134-131 win over the Wizards, and head coach Darvin Ham shared his reactions to it via Spectrum SportsNet on Twitter.
“We found a way to win… our guys pulled together when we needed to and made the plays when we needed to,” Ham said.

Ham claims that the Lakers found a way to win the game and made plays during the clutch moments.
After a battle that lasted over four quarters and over time, the Lakers were barely victorious over the Wizards.
However, at the end of the day, the Lakers need to rack up as many wins as possible during the final stretch of the season.
Following the three-point win, the Lakers have improved their record to 33-28 as they reclaimed the ninth seed in the Western Conference.
But if the Lakers want to have a shot at lifting the Larry O’Brien trophy at the end of the season, they need to get back a sense of urgency in their playing style sooner rather than later.
