Several quarterbacks in the 2024 NFL Draft class could be worthy of a first-round selection.
Caleb Williams is widely viewed as the best option, and Drake Maye is typically said to be the second-best QB on the board.
After that, however, is where the toss-up begins.
Depending on what fan or analyst one talks to, they could say Jayden Daniels, Michael Penix, J.J. McCarthy, or Bo Nix.
According to a recent tweet, Chris Simms believes that Nix is underrated.
Bo Nix is being underrated a bit right now.
Arm is strong – not quite Caleb but close to level of Jayden.
Really impressive with people around him
I loved watching film of this kid.
Think there’s a real discussion about who the #3 QB is

Simms believes that Nix’s arm is strong but notes that it is a definite step down from Williams.
He compared it to be close to Daniels’, one of the prospects that is typically listed above him.
When looking at his player profile and seeing what he did at Oregon, Simms believes Nix could be the No. 3 QB in this class.
He was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy this year, and while he didn’t win the award, this is a testament to how well Nix played throughout his time at Oregon.
If Simms’ comments are valid, Oregon will put out two top QB prospects in less than five years.
Justin Herbert has proven to be a great player with the Los Angeles Chargers and is also a great product from Oregon.
This school seems to churn out excellent prospects, and hopefully, Nix turns out to be as good, if not better, than advertised.
It will be interesting to see his landing spot and if he can help turn a team around in his first NFL season.
