The NBA has seen some of the greatest basketball players to ever live showcase their talents in the league.
Victor Wembanyama is the latest in that long lineage of superstar players who can run the league for years.
Wembanyama was the consensus number-one overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and a favorite to win the Rookie of the Year award.
While it took Wembanyama a few months to settle into the league, he is having a sensational rookie year.
One key aspect about Wembanyama’s talent is the fact that he’s extremely dangerous regardless of being on the offensive or the defensive end of the floor.
Speaking of Wembanyama’s defensive prowess, the San Antonio Spurs rookie had an unbelievable stat in February 2024, as revealed via “Get Up” on Twitter.

As per the graphic, Wembanyama registered 47 blocks in the month of February.
While it may not seem like a huge deal on its own, it certainly stands out when it is compared to block tallies of other teams in the league.
Yes, not individual players, but teams.
With that said, Wembanyama had more blocks than the Charlotte Hornets, Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, and Portland Trail Blazers last month.
Moreover, he was tied with the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls for total blocks in February.
Wembanyama has truly established himself as one of the best shot blockers in the league and he is still in his rookie season.
Keeping that in mind, it feels scary to imagine how good can the 20-year-old get when he reaches the prime of his career.
