The Minnesota Vikings may not know what to do with Kirk Cousins, but they definitely know what to do with their best player.

Justin Jefferson is heavily expected to get a huge deal in his next contract.

That’s why it’s not much of a surprise to see Dan Graziano reporting that the Vikings have made him their No. 1 priority for the offseason.

Per his report, they’re expected to give him around $30 million a year in his next deal (via Dov Kleiman).

Jefferson has established himself as one of the best wide receivers in the game, if not the best.

His ability to put up numbers, secure targets, and put up yards after the catch has been almost unmatched since he entered the league out of LSU.

Of course, the Vikings will also need to figure out what to do with their quarterback situation.

Kirk Cousins is reportedly going to demand another steep payment, and that might not be in the team’s best interests.

While he’s by far the best option they have at the moment, spending big bucks on an aging quarterback and coming off a major injury might not be wise.

The salary cap went higher, but committing a lot of money to just two players could be tricky.

Jefferson could be the kind of player who can put up numbers regardless of who’s feeding him the football, but they also need to put him in a position to succeed.
