With D’Andre Swift most likely to leave the Philadelphia Eagles, Nick Sirianni’s team should be in the market for a new running back.
Fortunately for them, there happens to be a very good one right there in their division.
The New York Giants showed Saquon Barkley the door, and this looks like a great opportunity to make a run at the Penn State product.
NFL analyst Craig Carton believes this would be a match made in heaven for both parties.

For starters, Barkley would benefit from playing in a high-octane offense that fits his playing style.
He’d get three legitimate threats in the passing game, with two solid wide receivers and a reliable tight end.
He’d also have one of the best offensive lines in the game, and a young and talented quarterback with a big chip on his shoulder.
But more than that, he would get the opportunity to stick it to the Giants twice a year.
The Giants made it loud and clear that they didn’t value him enough.
Barkley talked about his desire to stay with the organization for the remainder of his career, but they didn’t think he could stay healthy or thought he was worthy of big money or a fully-guaranteed contract.
Professional athletes can be petty individuals, and they always keep receipts.
So, staying in the division would give him a prime chance to let Brian Daboll, Joe Schoen, and the entire Giants organization know they made a huge mistake by not signing him to a long-term deal.
