The Kansas City Chiefs and Chris Jones are a match made in heaven.

They desperately need him to get back on the field for them, and he proved just how important he was to them last season.

Jones anchored Steve Spagnolo’s championship-winning season, and the Chiefs will now have to pay him what he’s worth.

Both sides were unable to work out a long-term deal last season.

However, it seems like they’re on the right path to get a deal done now, as he teased fans with a return on social media.

The 29-year-old superstar posted a pic of himself and HC Andy Reid celebrating after winning Super Bowl LVIII.

He’s been with the Chiefs throughout his entire eight-year career, helping them win three Super Bowls.

A second-round pick out of Mississippi State, he’s been a perennial Defensive Player of the Year candidate.

Throughout 123 regular-season games, he’s logged 75.5 sacks, being a dominant force week in and week out.

He’s a multi-time All-Pro and perennial Pro Bowler, and he’s coming off posting 10.5 sacks last season despite sitting out the season opener with a contract dispute.

Now, he’s expected to demand a contract closer to Aaron Donald’s, so he could be looking at a whopping $30 million per year.

Needless to say, they’ll have to work their magic to make sure to stay under the salary cap.
