The 2024 NFL Draft is getting closer by the day, an event that fans have been looking forward to since the 2023 season concluded.

Several teams, especially those looking for quarterbacks, have an opportunity to change the course of their franchise with this draft class.

The 2024 class has some of the most impressive QB prospects in recent history, giving teams several options at the position.

While some analysts have suggested that Caleb Williams is in a tier of his own, and Jayden Daniels is right behind him, Mike Tannenbaum recently presented an alternate viewpoint on the Dan Patrick Show.

“If you put J.J. McCarthy in LSU’s offense and Jayden Daniels in Michigan’s offense, their statistics would look very similar to what the other has,” Tannenbaum said.

McCarthy was initially seen as a mid-first-rounder, but Tannenbaum doesn’t think that should be the case.

In his mind, he and Daniels could make a similar impact in the NFL, believing that both players could thrive under different circumstances.

If this is the approach that NFL teams will take to the first part of the draft, McCarthy could go a lot earlier than initially expected.

Based on team needs, Daniels and McCarthy could both be top-ten picks, if not top-five.

This draft could provide a lot of surprises, especially if trades are made to get a crack at one of the top quarterbacks on the board.

Thankfully, fans only need to wait a few more weeks until the draft to see how it all goes down.
