Like many NBA fans, Chiney Ogwumike believes that the Boston Celtics absolutely have to reach the NBA Finals this year.
Speaking on Friday’s “Get Up,” the analyst said that the Celtics have a huge advantage in the Eastern Conference standings and their strongest roster in years.
Anything less than going all the way to the Finals would be seen as a disappointment and would raise a lot of questions, according to Ogwumike.

The Celtics are easily the best team in the Eastern Conference with a 48-14 record.
For comparison, the second-best team in that conference, the Milwaukee Bucks, have a 41-22 record.
They are head-and-shoulders better than the rest of their conference and that means they should easily move past every other team and go all the way to the Finals.
But what happens if they don’t?
The Celtics recently signed Jaylen Brown to a monster contract and they have to decide what to do with Jayson Tatum and other stars’ contracts.
If the team falls short of its ultimate goal, will they tweak the roster and possibly part with some of the big names on it?
For the last few years, the Celtics have been favorites in the East and they have gotten close to winning their 18th championship.
A few seasons ago, they reached the Finals, and last season they fought their way to the Eastern Conference Finals.
But they weren’t able to seal the deal either time, which was concerning for fans.
It has gotten to the point where Ogwumike and many others think that anything short of an appearance in the Finals will be underwhelming.
With such talent and potential, the Celtics have a lot to prove and this is the year to prove it.
