The 2023-24 NBA regular season has been a roller coaster ride for the Golden State Warriors, with the storied franchise going through some drastic ups and downs throughout the campaign.
The Warriors have dealt with Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins losing a step or two while the team has been ravaged by injuries over the course of the regular season, which has led to the team simply fighting to get into the Play-In Tournament at this point.
As if the team hadn’t dealt with enough this season with 20 games left to go before the NBA playoffs get underway, superstar guard Stephen Curry has gone down with an ankle injury, which is not ideal timing for the struggling squad.
Although the Warriors have won seven out of their last 10 games, Golden State won’t be nearly as good offensively without Curry on the floor, and now the team has an idea of how much time the future Hall of Famer might miss because of the ankle injury.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the expectation is the face of the Warriors franchise won’t be out of the lineup for long.
The expectation is that Curry won’t miss much time for the Warriors, sources said. Golden State is ninth in the Western Conference playoff race. https://t.co/Ai6g4xALUD

Even though this is a rather vague update, as there’s no timeline or estimate as to how many games he’ll miss, the update is positive, as it could be much worse.
The only question now is whether the Warriors can stay afloat and ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference standings without their superstar leading the way, or Golden State could end up missing the Play-In Tournament altogether.
