The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a heartbreaking loss against the Sacramento Kings ahead of their crucial matchup vs. the Milwaukee Bucks.

However, the 17-time NBA champions pulled off a memorable win over the Bucks on Friday night with a remarkable performance by D’Angelo Russell.

Although Russell spearheaded the Lakers’ attack throughout the game, Spencer Dinwiddie stepped up for the team during the final play.

Dinwiddie had the game-winning block over Damian Lillard as the Lakers registered a 123-122 win over the Bucks.

Dinwiddie credited Russell for predicting the type of play that the Bucks may run to seal the game.

Keeping that in mind, the idea was to shift Damian Lillard to his right as Dinwiddie revealed that the Bucks star is lethal on his left side.

The Lakers succeeded in doing that and it resulted in a last-second block made by Dinwiddie.

Dinwiddie may have contributed just 5 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists to the Lakers’ total, but his 2 blocks played a crucial role in the team’s victory over the Bucks.

LeBron James was absent from the game due to an ankle injury he picked up against the Sacramento Kings.

As a result, Dinwiddie was awarded the first start of his Lakers career and it’s safe to say that the veteran guard didn’t disappoint.

In 11 appearances, Dinwiddie has averaged 5.4 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game for the Lakers.
