For the first time since May 2021, the Los Angeles Lakers are six games over .500.
After months of troubles, tribulations, and dwindling patience from fans, it seems the Lakers are getting into a good groove.
Speaking on “Run It Back,” Shams Charania said that the Lakers are figuring out who they are, at the perfect time.
“This is a team that’s starting to find its identity a little bit,” Charania said, noting that multiple players beyond just LeBron James and Anthony Davis are stepping up and head coach Darvin Ham has found a rotation that works.

The Lakers have won five of their last seven and have taken down some of the toughest teams in the NBA.
They have beaten the Oklahoma City Thunder, Milwaukee Bucks, and Minnesota Timberwolves.
Much like last year, they are playing cohesively and strong just before the playoffs get started.
When the season began, Ham couldn’t settle on a starting lineup and he constantly tweaked which players would be with James and Davis at tip-off.
But now, months later, the starting five is solid and the bench players are also doing great work.
Fans wonder just where the Lakers would be right now if they had been playing like this all season.
Although things are definitely looking up, Charania noted that both James and Davis are banged up right now and playing through injuries, which is definitely concerning.
And while they have also had some great victories lately, they still can’t seem to overpower other teams such as the Denver Nuggets.
Many challenges are waiting for this team in the final weeks of the regular season.
They have their identity now, and that’s a big deal.
But can it lead to the playoffs and the Western Conference Finals again?
