LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers has been in the league so long that his career has to be looked at in phases and eras.

And that means that many fans ask a singular question: which era was the best for James?

Former James teammate Norris Cole joined Tidal League and was asked to choose between the James of 2012 and the James of 2018.

Cole struggled with the answer but revealed that he’d go with the James from 2018 because he “had it all figured out.”

He said that James in 2018 was comfortable playing multiple positions, had more experience, and was more dominant.

What’s the best version of LeBron we have ever seen?

It’s a hard question for Cole, who played with James when he was leading the Heat.

The James of 2012 averaged 27.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 6.2 assists while the James of 2018 put up 27.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 9.1 assists.

There were, of course, differences between the two seasons, including the fact that James won a championship in 2012 but failed to do so in 2018.

In fact, 2017-18 was James’ last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

After winning the Finals a few years before, he elected to move to the Los Angeles Lakers after a failed championship run in 2018.

Even though he didn’t claim another ring in 2018, James was still an incredibly dominant player during the regular season and playoffs.

For many, it was a prime example of James’ greatness, especially as he was transforming into the elder statesman of the league at the time.

The truth is that he has been impressive for so many seasons that there are many years that could be argued as James’ best.

2012 and 2018 might get the most attention, but the Lakers icon has been a megastar for more than two decades now.
