After a couple of years of subpar quarterback play, the Pittsburgh Steelers made a big splash in free agency by bringing in former Super Bowl champion Russell Wilson to take over under center.
Current starting quarterback and 2022 first-round pick Kenny Pickett is seemingly slated to hit the bench, but according to a recent video, he doesn’t seem too worried about it.
Dov Kleiman shared a video of Pickett out enjoying some pizza and pasta with his friends looking as happy as can be.

Many fans will surely run with this and criticize Pickett for not eating broccoli and chicken breast, but it’s great that Pickett doesn’t seem to be letting the Russ news ruin his offseason.
There was once a time when rookie quarterbacks would sit for a year or two to learn behind a veteran, but this doesn’t happen very often anymore.
Perhaps a year or two behind Wilson will help Pickett take the next step as a quarterback after he has struggled mightily through parts of two seasons as a starter.
Pickett has made 24 starts in his two seasons and has just 13 touchdowns to show for it to go along with 13 picks.
He has one game with multiple touchdowns, so the Steelers will be looking for Russ to light a needed spark and dig this offense out of the hole it has been in since the twilight years of Ben Roethlisberger’s career.
In the meantime, Pickett will have plenty of time to eat pizza.
Hopefully, he can bring Russ for a slice or two and pick up some quarterbacking tips along the way.
