At one point during his NFL career, wide receiver Jarvis Landry was considered to be one of the best players in the league at his position, as he was a Pro Bowler five years in a row while playing for the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns.

Unfortunately for Landry, after the 2020 NFL season with the Browns, the veteran wide receiver’s production on the field started dropping considerably, and injuries also became a persistent problem.

During the 2022 NFL season, Landry played for the New Orleans Saints and only got on the field for nine games during the regular season, where he caught 25 passes for 272 yards and one touchdown.

Needless to say, his time as one of the best wideouts in the league had come to an end, as he missed the entire 2023 NFL season.

With NFL free agency well underway right now, some wide receivers in the league are getting paid, namely Calvin Ridley, who agreed to a long-term deal worth $92 million, which may have sparked this reaction from Landry on Twitter.

“I would never believe some of these guy are better than me. I just can’t see it,” Landry tweeted.

Along with Ridley, former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars on a three-year deal for $39 million, presumably as Ridley’s replacement.

That number seems to be where teams are willing to go for middle-of-the-pack receivers, with Darnell Mooney also signing for the same amount with the Atlanta Falcons.

Kendrick Bourne got less ($19 million) to re-sign with the New England Patriots, while Curtis Samuel signed with the Buffalo Bills on a three-year deal worth $30 million.

With all these receivers getting paid, Landry’s frustration must be mounting, as his career in the league might be over.
