Anthony Edwards is still receiving a mammoth reaction from people all over the NBA because of his monster dunk over John Collins on Monday night.
The Minnesota Timberwolves star has a lot of people talking, including NBA legend Paul Pierce.
On “Undisputed,” Pierce called Edwards’ play the dunk of the year and also said that the Timberwolves player is becoming the future of the entire NBA.
“I think we’re potentially looking at the face of the league,” Pierce said, citing Edwards’ excitement, skills, and charisma.
He said that Monday’s dunk was proof that Edwards is eager to take on the role of leading the league.

It wasn’t the first time that Edwards wowed the NBA crowd and it definitely won’t be the last.
The 22-year-old guard is averaging 26.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game and is playing with a level of energy that he hasn’t had before.
Pierce isn’t the only NBA expert stating that Edwards is the future of his team and the league.
In only a few short years, he has shown so much growth and a strengthening knowledge of the game.
The bar was set high for Edwards back in 2020 when he was the first overall draft pick but he has surpassed most expectations.
The best news about Edwards is that he is clearly getting better and could continue to do so.
Monday night’s dunk was just one example of the way that Edwards is improving his style and strength.
There have been many great dunks in the league this season but Edwards’ work on Monday has earned the most praise and attention.
In many ways, it was more than just a dunk and confirmation that Edwards is one of the most exciting young players in the NBA.
