Over the past few years in the NFL, the league has seen a talent boost at the wide receiver position, as it could be argued that this is the most talented era for pass catchers, and that will only get better with the influx of talent coming into the league via the 2024 NFL Draft.
While the dynamic of the wide receiver position in the NFL will change after the upcoming NFL Draft with so many talented players coming out of the college game, the league currently has a long list of players that could be in contention for the cream of the crop at the position.
Although Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders has been arguably the best receiver in the NFL over most of his career, the gap is closing with quite a few players starting to catch up and possibly surpass the veteran wideout.
On a recent appearance on “The OGs Show” with former NBA players Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem, former Miami Dolphins star cornerback Xavien Howard listed who he believes are the top-five best receivers in the NFL currently, starting with his former teammate Tyreek Hill, via NBACentral.
Xavien Howard has a conversation with Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller where he names his top five wide receivers:
Tyreek Hill
Davante Adams
Stefon Diggs
Ja’Marr Chase
Justin Jefferson

Ever since Hill joined the Dolphins, he has been putting up insane numbers, as instead of regressing without Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs throwing him the football every week, he has taken his game to another level in Miami with Tua Tagovailoa as his quarterback.
The rest of Howard’s list is pretty on point as he went with Adams, Stefon Diggs, Ja’Marr Chase, and Justin Jefferson.
