The Indiana Pacers finally got their revenge on the Los Angeles Lakers as they beat them handily on their home floor.
The Pacers beat the Lakers 109-90, an impressive response after the latter dropped 150 on them the week prior.
Indiana’s defense hasn’t been very good during the 2023-24 NBA season, but they locked down Los Angeles who entered the night on a five-game winning streak.
Pascal Siakam took over the game in the third quarter with a flurry of baskets, while Tyrese Haliburton finally had a solid night as a shotmaker and distributer.
It was a cathartic win for the Pacers who also lost to the Lakers in the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament championship, proving that they can overcome teams with size and physicality.
Shortly after the win, Indiana’s social media team had some fun at Los Angeles’ expense via the team’s official Twitter account.
“sending Lakers fans home tonight,” the Pacers tweeted.

The video shows several fans in Lakers jerseys crying on the screen, poking fun at their favorite team losing.
Although it was an Indiana home game, there were numerous Los Angeles fans in attendance which speaks to their popularity across the country.
The Lakers probably won’t take kindly to the video, though the Pacers are happy to revel in their win, especially after dropping their previous two contests.
However, Indiana still has some work left to do as they are narrowly holding onto the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.
The Pacers have a couple of days off until they take on the Brooklyn Nets on Monday.
