The Phoenix Suns need some help right now.
Despite the flurry of offensive talent they have, they haven’t been able to get on a nice run and make other teams fear their potential.
Notably, a lot of that might have to do with their lack of a traditional point guard.
As good a player as Devin Booker is, he’s not a floor general or a traditional playmaker, and neither is Bradley Beal.
With that in mind, Frank Vogel might turn to a veteran for assistance, at least during stretches.
According to a report by NBA insider Marc Stein, the Suns have now signed veteran PG Isaiah Thomas to a second ten-day contract.
The Suns say they have signed Isaiah Thomas to a second 10-day contract.

Coach Vogel made it loud and clear that Thomas was only going to be there for depth, adding that he wouldn’t see the floor when they were at full strength.
He’s only made a couple of appearances for them, and he’s definitely not the player he used to be.
Then again, their offense has been tight and stagnant in clutch time, so they should at least give him an opportunity to prove his worth as their playmaker when the game is on the line.
Thomas has always been a liability on defense, but his shot-making skills have never been in question, and defenses will have to keep an eye on him when he’s on the floor.
All teams need someone who can get their scorers the ball when and where they need it, and the Suns could do a lot worse than to give this veteran a chance at this point.
