The Boston Celtics have everything they need to get the job done.
They have several two-way players, with all five players in their starting lineup being able to get stops and put up points on the other end of the floor.
They also have depth and two All-NBA-caliber players looking to prove themselves.
With that in mind, coach Joe Mazzulla talked about Jaylen Brown and how he takes pride in the fact that he can guard the opposition’s best player (Via Celtics on NBC Sports Boston).
“He’s understanding that he can have a crazy impact on the game in many ways without scoring, and he takes pride in that. I think his defensive ownership has been big for us,” Mazzulla said.

He believes that Brown has realized that he can have a positive impact on the game despite having to score, as he’s a versatile player who can do a little bit of everything, defense included.
Brown’s talents and impact have never been doubted.
He’s been exposed when he’s been forced to play with his off-hand, and he’s fallen short in some big moments in his career, but he’s also been able to take over and put the team on his shoulders when need be.
Brown is currently the highest-paid player in the NBA, and that kind of money also comes with heavy scrutiny and a big responsibility.
He’s going to be in the spotlight in every single postseason game, especially with opposing teams trying to make the most of his struggles with his left hand.
So, if his shot isn’t falling, perhaps he’ll be best off relying on his flurry of talented teammates and leaving it all on the other end of the hardwood.
