The NBA is a star-driven league unlike any other and with the playoffs right around the corner, teams are working to get to the finish line healthy in order to make a potential big run into late June.
One team, in particular, has been without it’s superstar for months and has plummeted down the standings into the play-in tournament, but his long-awaited return could be right around the corner to help save a season that is circling the drain.
That man is reigning MVP Joel Embiid, who according to a new workout video is looking close to 100% healthy in his attempt to come back from a torn meniscus.

The 76ers need Embiid back desperately, as they have gone 10-18 without him and fallen to 8th in the Eastern Conference.
Embiid’s return appears imminent, as head coach Nick Nurse announced that Embiid is on their current two-game road trip, which means we could see The Process back on the court any day now.
Embiid was making a strong case to repeat as MVP before going down with the torn meniscus, as he is currently averaging 35.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 5.7 assists a game on 53.3 percent shooting.
Philly is currently 2.5 games back of the coveted 6th seed, which would get them out of the play-in tournament and also help them avoid the vaunted Boston Celtics in the first round, a team that has given them fits in the postseason in recent years.
A 6-seed would likely pair the Sixers up with either the Cavaliers or Knicks in the first round of the playoffs, both matchups they’d feel confident in winning if they have their MVP back.
