On Sunday, the Los Angeles Lakers hope to bounce back on the road after a recent loss to the Indiana Pacers, with veteran guard Spencer Dinwiddie taking on his former team for the first time since he signed with the 17-time NBA champions.

Although Dinwiddie got off to a slow start with the Lakers, struggling to make an impact despite playing a lot of minutes for head coach Darvin Ham, he has come on strong as of late with an aggressive approach that seems to be working.

In Brooklyn, Dinwiddie will likely get considerable minutes against his old team, with the Lakers wanting to get the win and take one step closer to being done with their last long road trip of the regular season.

Ahead of Sunday’s game, Dinwiddie spoke to the media and admitted that it would feel like a home game for the Lakers at Barclays Center, via Harrison Faigen.

“Oh yeah, typically it’s a home game for the Lakers in this building,” Dinwiddie said.

With the Lakers being one of the most successful franchises in professional sports, let alone in the NBA, Los Angeles tends to be the home team more often than not while on the road, which obviously is a big advantage.

Sunday’s game will be a revenge game of sorts for Dinwiddie, who has played two different stints with Brooklyn, and for Dennis Schroder, who played for the Lakers last season and is now the starting point guard for the Nets.
