LeBron James helped the Los Angeles Lakers sail past the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday night, beating them 116-104 and earning their 42nd win of the season.
During the game, James posted 40 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists.
That was an impressive total that was made even more impressive by the fact that LeBron is 39 years old.
According to Get Up, that means that James has now joined Michael Jordan as the only player with multiple 40-point games at age 39 or older.

Jordan scored three 40-point games after 39 while James has now done it twice.
Meanwhile, Karl Malone and Jamal Crawford both did it once.
This is yet another astounding feat from James, who is still racking up huge NBA honors and records as he nears 40 years old.
Right now, he has done this twice but it seems very likely that he could do it again, tying Jordan.
In fact, at the rate he’s playing, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him surpass Jordan with this record.
James is averaging 25.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game this season, which are stunning numbers for someone his age.
He remains the most important player for the Lakers even at his age.
His game on Sunday was noteworthy for multiple reasons beyond his 40-point total.
He was also red-hot from downtown and went 9-of-10 from beyond the three-point line.
This was yet another spectacular showing from James and the Lakers were able to earn a much-needed win.
They are now firmly in the ninth spot in the Western Conference, which means they are very likely to be in the Play-In Tournament later this month.
Will James put up another 40-point game before that tournament begins?
