Only eight regular-season games remain for the top-seeded Boston Celtics, with Jayson Tatum and company still looking like the best team in the Eastern Conference and potentially the only team that will be able to give the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets a run for their money in a seven-game series.
Even though the Celtics have already clinched a playoff spot and seem well on their way to keeping the top seed in the East heading into the NBA playoffs, the team will want to continue playing at a high level to finish out the regular season, as they have won eight of their last 10 games.
Unfortunately, the Celtics may have hit a snag with only a handful of games left in the regular season, as Jaylen Brown is currently dealing with an injury.
According to Noa Dalzell of SB Nation, Brown will miss Monday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets due to a hand injury, via Legion Hoops.

With Brown being crucial to the team’s success this season, this is obviously a concerning injury, as Boston will want all their stars healthy and ready to go when they get the first round of the playoffs underway on April 20.
Brown is currently averaging 23.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, shooting a career-high 50.2% from the floor and 35.8% from beyond the arc.
If Brown’s injury lingers and carries over into the postseason, the Celtics could be in trouble with teams like the Milwaukee Bucks, New York Knicks, and Miami Heat smelling blood in the water.
