The New York Knicks chose the worst possible time to free-fall.
Tom Thibodeau’s team has now dropped three consecutive games, falling to the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference.
Of course, they’re still a lock to make the playoffs, but you don’t want to get into this kind of slump with the postseason just around the corner.
That’s why sports analyst Craig Carton recently stated that there’s something that just doesn’t feel right about them at this moment.
“It doesn’t feel right.”

Granted, having OG Anunoby and Julius Randle missing time is far from ideal, and this team has already proven what they’re capable of when they’re at their best.
On the other hand, Coach Thibodeau is also infamous for wearing his players out and draining them physically with the heavy minutes he plays them.
As of now, the Knicks are tied with the Orlando Magic with a 44-31 record, but they could still fall as low as No. 8 if they continue this tough streak in the final seven games of the season.
Needless to say, they need to avoid the Play-in Tournament at all costs, especially with the No.8-seeded Philadelphia 76ers just getting Joel Embiid back.
There’s still a chance they will be able to turn things around and right the course of the ship while they still can.
But this shouldn’t even be a talking point this deep into the season, especially with Jalen Brunson playing at such a high level and them being a top-four team for most of the campaign.
